Artist Bio
Hi there! I'm Ella Peeters (she/they), an emerging theatre-maker, writer and actor living on treasured Whadjuk Noongar Boodja. As a proud queer and neurodivergent person, I'm passionate about telling stories for young people, leading with curiosity, care, compassion and resilience to help make a better world for everyone. A 2025 graduate of WAAPA's Bachelor of Performing Arts (Performance Making), I've worked with major companies as a deviser/performer, including Spare Parts Puppet Theatre (Echolocation, 2025), WAYTCo (Rest 2019, Boxed In 2020, Beside, 2021) and The Blue Room Theatre (The Late Great Andrew Tate, 2024, Vivarium, 2025). Also, in 2025, I spent 3 months studying in Singapore at the Intercultural Theatre Institute, specialising in the ancient Japanese Noh Theatre, which sparked a passion to create feminist intercultural theatre. Because no one gets left behind.

I live, work and play on the treasured lands of the Whadjuk People of the Noongar Nation, who are the traditional custodians of this Boodja. Storytelling has taken place here for tens of thousands of years, and I am honoured and privileged to tell stories on this land too. I extend my respect to all Elders past, present and emerging. Sovereignty was never ceded.
This Always Was Always, and Always Will Be Indigenous Land.
